Question:
Do you guys know what size Brake actuator I would need for my M1102 military trailer? I went with a curt pintle hitch first and it was not strong enough to reverse and it twisted the pintle hitch. It’s a 3” Thanks in advance

For the available specs I have available for your M1102 military trailer, the trailer itself has drum brakes with a maximum GVWR of 4200 pounds. The specs also indicate that the trailer already has free-backing plates.
With that information and the additional factor of a 3-inch wide tongue, I recommend the Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator - Drum - Zinc - 2" Ball - 8,000 lbs # DM8609101. This actuator comes with zinc plating for corrosion resistance and includes a lever lock coupler mechanism for making an easy connection. With this system, you need a 2-inch ball like the # A-90 (if your mount requires a 1-1/4 inch diameter shank) or the # 40038 (if your mount requires a 1-inch diameter shank).
If the trailer does not have the factory free-backing brakes, I recommend the Hydraulic Brake Kit - Uni-Servo # AKFBBRK-7 for your setup.
