Painting a Front Mounted Hitch thats Been Powder Coated on a 2018 Toyota Tundra

Question:

2018 Tundra, looking at purchasing the Curt front hitch. Is there anything special Id need to do to paint the hitch a different color? You guys have a really good paint job so Im not sure even Krylon will stick to it. Ive painted some metal objects before and had to use etching paint beforehand. Thanks!

The Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 65080 that fits your 2018 Toyota Tundra has been powder coated and covered with an e-coat base for rust protection. You are going to have to get through all of that to get whatever coat of paint on you want to add. You can just scuff the powder coat and paint over it.
