Question:

My car is a 2011 BMW 3 series 328ic hard top convertible. Will the subject hitch work on this car? If not, do you know of a hitch that will. Interested in using a bicycle rack 2 bikes with the hitch.

We have two hitches for your 2011 BMW 328xi convertible as long as it is not the M3, we have the Stealth Hitch # SH78VR or the # SH94VR. Once you have your hitch installed, you will have a large number of choices for bike racks to carry 3 bikes. I recommend the Thule Helium Pro 3 # TH9043PRO. I have attached a video of this bike rack and the two hitches. You would be able to choose any 3-bike rack that works with a 2" hitch receiver.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Yakima Tube Top Adapter Bar # Y02531 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
