Question:
My house burned down and Im renting a 40 Toy hauler. The scare light burned out last week and Im trying to figure out how it made its connection. I took the circular plate off and then the tiny screw from the back of the bulb. Very difficult since they left no extra wire to allow room to work. I then removed the bulb and the small circular assembly that held the bulb. The bulb would not come out of the metal assembly and the wires had no disconnect to remove them from the RV. I now am not sure what the replacement bulb should look like and exactly how it should connect to the electrical wires. Can you help? Is this bulb a standard Auto Center item.

The # RVSL21 Scare light uses an 1156 replacement bulb that is widely available. We carry this bulb also, part # DI49VR. These bulbs have two posts that slide into slots in the socket and then you turn the bulb approximately 1/4 to 1/2 turn to lock it into the socket.
There should be 2 wires going to the bulb socket. One will attach to the bulb base for ground and the other will attach to the center of the base at the bottom for power to the bulb.
