Question:

I just got my new 2022 Ford F-450 that included the OEM 5th wheel pucks, but I really want to get the BedRug BR79VR as well. I will be towing a 5th wheel pretty often and I want to get the most heavy duty option available, but I also don't want to have to completely cut up and destroy the BedRug either. I've seen people that had to cut out a whole section to get everything to fit properly. What are my options?

The best and most heavy duty option for your 2022 Ford F-450 with the factory pucks will be the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP68FR. This is rated up to 32,000 pounds towing and 6,400 pounds of vertical load, so it really meets the heavy duty mark. Since you are also looking at the BedRug Impact Truck Bed Liner # BR79VR, this hits the least trimming mark as well.

Since the legs come down to 4 separate "feet", you will only need to trim sections large enough for them to make contact with the bed. This will be significantly less than some of the other hitches, especially those with adapters that would require a large rectangle to be removed. This is definitely the way to go.
