Are the Tires on the Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer DOT Approved

Question:
I have read elsewhere that the tires are scooter tires, not DOT approved, and not rated for trailer use or highway speed. Is this true? I am in need of a trailer, but might consider a Malone, instead.

The tire on the Yakima Rack and Roll trailers is a 3.25-16, which is an uncommon size for a trailer. The company that makes the tire is called FEICHI TYRE. They make a lot of motorcycle tires. I went out and inspected our Yakima Rack and Roll trailer and found that not only are the tires DOT approved, but they also meet the European standards.
It also seems to have a P speed rating which is 94 miles per hour. However I do not recommend towing the trailer over 65 miles per hour for safety in general.
