This is a pretty common issue and the problem ends up being that the sensors are dirty and unable to read properly. We have a cleaner for this to take care of this problem with the prat # V22011. To use the Valterra Sensor Cleaner part # V22011 on either a gray or black tank you will need to add 8 oz (half the bottle) to an empty tank and then fill tank with water. After 24 hours you can empty the tank at your convenience.
It's recommended to do this once a year.
