The Westin HDX Grille Guard with Punch Plate # 57-2235 should not interfere with your hood once installed. The only available hardware/bracket is the original hardware that came with the grille guard. I recommend reviewing the installation instructions again to make sure the grille guard is properly installed. I would also inspect the hardware and brackets to make sure nothing is damaged or out of place.
If the mounting hardware has been damaged, resulting in the grille guard interfering with hood operation, we do have the Replacement Mounting Hardware # 57-223PK available. This will work with the stainless steel and black powder coated steel version of this grille guard.
I have attached the written instructions for your reference.
