Can I Connect To The 12 Volt Power Supply Outlet In The Rear Storage Area Of My 2019 VW Tiguan?

Question:

There is a 12V cigar lighter power outlet at the rear cargo area. Is it possible if I wire the earth white wire to the negative and black wire to the positive of the 12V socket? If so I dont need to do the wiring under the car. Thanks

To be able to use the cigar lighter power outlet in the back of your 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan it and all the components used with it must be rated for at least 15 amps of power. If all them are rated for at least 15 amps then yes you will be able to attach the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118811 power supply to the outlet.

Do understand that you will still want to use the inline fuse to protect the powered module. Also if the outlet only fed power when the ignition circuit is on this means you will need to leave the ignition on when using your hazard lights for them to work on the trailer.
