If your 2013 Nissan Pathfinder is equipped with a rear spoiler, and from my research it most likely is, you might want to consider the Hollywood Rack Over the Top # HRF2. Currently we only have this bike rack in 2 bike configuration. This bike rack is one of our newest products and is specifically designed to be used on vehicles with a rear spoiler. The design of this trunk mounted bike rack reduces the stress that can be placed on the rear spoiler when using a trunk mount bike rack.

The Hollywood Over the Top can be used with standard hook attachments or hatch anchors that attach the upper part of the frame to the trunk of your Pathfinder. It can also be mounted to your car using a full or partial roof rack system. You may also need to use an adapter bar like the # HRBA-PRO, with this bike rack in order to carry alternative frame, womens, or childrens bikes in a level position and to improve ground clearance.

If your vehicle does not have a rear mounted spoiler then my recommendation for a trunk mount bike rack would be the Thule OutWay. This is one of our most popular selling trunk mounted bike rack, and has had excellent reviews.

This bike rack comes in either a 2 or 3 bike carrier and both are confirmed as a fit for your 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. The Thule OutWay 2 is part # TH45JV, and the Thule OutWay 3 is part # TH56BV. This is the easiest carrier to install because it uses only 2 rubber coated straps instead of the usual 4-6 straps of other carriers. It also comes with locks for both the rack and the bikes to deter theft.

If you plan to carry an alternative frame, women's or children's bike, Thule suggests using an adapter bar like the # TH982XT be used, and that allows for the bikes to be mounted in a horizontal position that improves ground clearance.

Please note that when using a trunk mounted bike rack you should not use the rear wiper of your Pathfinder. The rear hatch should not be opened with the bike rack installed due to the additional weight placed on the hatch of your vehicle, and the possibility that the bike rack may slide out of position.
