What Trailer Components are Needed for an Electric over Hydraulic Brake System

Question:

just bought a gooseneck with dual tandem axles10,000#s has drum brakes set up for electric/hydraulic but the the actuator is missing. I think that is all that is missing but have never had this set up before. was wondering what the components where so I can replace whats missing and get brakes again

Basically you are going to need an actuator, a breakaway kit, breakaway battery and brake lines. To get an idea check out the picture I attached.

I would recommend you go over your setup and look for all the components and replace them as necessary. I imagine someone took the actuator because its a pretty expensive item.

For an actuator that would work with your tandem drum brake axles check out the Carlisle HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Drum Brakes # HBA-10.
