Question:
2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo I had a 7 pin and 4 pin tow wire harness installed on my Cherokee and Primus IQ trailer brake. The brakes work on the trailer but the turn signals do not. Everything seems connected right, any advice?

It sounds like you may not have the tow package on your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee, you should head to your dealer and have them reflash your bcm so that you have all functions of your trailer connector.
If you do have a tow package the first thing you will want to do is use a circuit tester like our part # PTW2993 and test the functions of the 7-way to determine if the problem is on the vehicle or the trailer side of the setup. Check out the video I attached that shows how this is done.
If there is voltage on the 7-way then you need to check the wiring of your trailer as the problem is there. It could be corrosion in the trailer connector or any cut wires that could be causing the short. I attached an faq on trailer wiring that you might find helpful also.
If there was not voltage on your vehicle connector then the problem is somewhere in the truck wiring. I would recommend you go over it to be sure you did not forget to make any connections.
