What to Do with the Extra Trim Added to the 2022 VW Tiguan, R-Line for Hitch Receiver Install

New Tiguan R-line Black has more trim and such between bumper and muffler, and looks like some surgery is required? What do you think?

Thanks for the pictures! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13381 you were looking at is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2022 Volkswagen Tiguan. It looks like VW has added some extra trim pieces for the R-Line model. Those will need to be removed or at the very least trimmed down significantly for the hitch receiver to be installed. I have attached an installation video. Removing or modifying these trim pieces will not affect the function of your hitch receiver.
