Question:
Trailer balls with hole for cotter pin. I am looking for a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch trailer balls with 1 inch shafts that are designed to be used with cotter pins to stop the nut, if it works loose, from falling off. Whatchagot?

It sounds like you're looking for the Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Ball Set - 2" and 2-5/16" Balls - 1" Shank - Nickel # 904b. This hitch ball enables you to switch between having a 2" or 2-5/16" hitch ball depending on what your trailer calls for, the shank is 1" diameter, and then at the very end of the shank there is a cotter pin as an extra safety precaution to ensure that the hitch ball stays connected to the ball mount (although if everything is torqued properly this should never be an issue, especially since a lock washer is used).
