Rooftop Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2021 Toyota Sequoia

Question:

Hi we have a 2021 Toyota Seqouia with factory roof rack and factory cross bars. What box would you recommend? Is it ok to mount in on the factory cross bars, they are only about 2-3 inch higher than the roof - it that enough airflow under the box?

I recommend checking out the Yakima CBX roof cargo box for your 2021 Toyota Sequoia. This is a premium option from Yakima and it comes as either a 16 cu ft Box # Y66FR or 18 cu ft Box # Y86FR depending on what kind of cargo space you're needing. The clamping system is extremely easy to use and you'll have no issues with that 2-3" height that you're talking about. Cargo boxes change the aerodynamics of vehicles so when it comes to airflow that isn't as big of a concern (although having some aerodynamic shape like the CBX does help).
