The Erickson Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Load Stops # EM07706 is a universal rack that was designed for full size trucks. So while this will fit to your 2016 Toyota Tacoma it will sit higher and stick out further on the sides than what is necessary. This will create additional wind noise while driving which may be distracting.
For your Tacoma I would recommend looking at the T-Rac Pro2 Ladder Rack # TH37005XT. This rack was designed for mid size trucks like your Tacoma so it will sit at the right height for your roof line. The mounting brackets will fit your 6' bed with or without the Deck Rail System.
