Is Release Cable of BAK Revolver X2 Tonneau Durable

Question:
Noticed pull string to unlock cover when tailgate is opened it looks pretty flimsy? If string is broken is if easy to repair by just adding a new string but stronger? This cover made for truck with existing tool box..

I wouldn't describe the release cable of the BAK Revolver X2 part # BAK39329 as flimsy. It's actually a rubber coated steel cable that we've not had any reported issues of breaking. If it were to break this is covered by a 3 year warranty though so BAK or us would take care of it. There isn't a replacement part for it since it's not a commonly damaged item.
