Question:

I have a 2021 Ford Edge that has the hands-free liftgate option. Will installing the Draw Tite 75234 hitch interfere with the function of the auto liftgate?

Installing the Draw-Tite # 75234 Class III hitch on your 2021 Ford Edge will interfere a bit with the operation of the hands free liftgate feature, but it won't prevent it from working.

The sensors under the center portion of the bumper will be blocked by the hitch receiver opening, but the areas to the left and right will still work, as shown in the photo I've provided for you.

If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing setup. If your Edge is a Titanium model, you'd use the # C73FR wiring harness or for all other trim levels, use # C89FR. For a ball mount, use part # D-28 along with a # PC3 hitch pin. For a trailer ball, go with # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
