Question:

I need to flat tow my 2022 Chevy Spark but I'm not sure which Roadmaster base kit to get. Which one is better?

The 2 base plate kit designs from Roadmaster are Direct-Connect and Crossbar-Style. The The Direct-Connect uses a more simple connection and it looks less clunky than the Crossbar-Style, plus the Crossbar-Style requires the use of a crossbar on the tow bar which just means another piece that you have to deal with when you're getting everything set up. Because of this I recommend going with the Direct-Connect Style # RM-523202-5 on your 2022 Chevy Spark. Attached is an installation video and a photo to give you an idea of what this looks like and how it will install.

For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you don't already have all of these parts then I recommend the following for a complete flat tow setup:
