Question:

I noticed on your website that the Blue Ox base plates are now available however it also mentions in small print that the new base plate is not for the Overland or Summit modals. I have a Summit Reserve and I am wondering which base plate modal is required for that trim level? 2021 Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve.

The only base kit option we currently offer for a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit (3.6L V6 Only) is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit part # RM59ZR which is an excellent option and one of our favorite base plates due to both install and tow bar compatibility. Speaking of which, this base plate kit will be a perfect fit for the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar part # RM-676 which is what I recommend. If you already have a Blue Ox tow bar, you can simply use the Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter part # BX88185.
