Updated 10/20/2021 | Published 10/19/2021 >
Question:
will the 12v pin on a 7 pin plug have enough amperage to run a couple of led flood lights on a trailer? I will use 18g stranded wire from the plug to lights

Expert Reply:
With the Opti-Brite LED Work Light - Flood Beam - 617 Lumens # TLL48FB having only a 1.52 amp draw, there will be absolutely no issue running these off the power provided from a 7 Way plug. We have actually had people wire these directly to reverse light circuits on their trailer to illuminate a wide area behind them, making backing up a lot easier.
