Can Trailer Wiring 4-Way Connector be Mounted Next to Receiver on 2011 Toyota Sienna

Question:

Is there any reason why the wiring for the 4 pin connector cant be run through the same grommet that you run the power cable through so it can route under the car and be attached to the trailer hitch? Seems storing it in the cubby and hanging it over the threshold when in use is kind of messy.

You can definitely route the 4-Way from the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness # HM11143495 through the grommet on your 2011 Toyota Sienna so that it can be mounted near the hitch receiver on your vehicle. I prefer to have it mounted by the receiver for easier access, but if someone doesn't do much towing then storing the connector in the rear cargo area of the van will keep it safer from the elements.

To keep the 4-Way hanging near the receiver you can use the Mounting Bracket # 18144, and then if you don't have a bracket on the crosstube of your receiver you can use the No-Drill Bracket # 18140 to accomplish this.
