Which Fireplace Replaces the Furrion Electric Fireplace # F30SW15ABL?

Question:

I have a Furrion fireplace in my 2020 Montana High Country 295RL 5th Wheel that we bought in Aug 2019. The first year it worked fine although we only had it on once. The following year we had it on a couple of times and it automatically shut off and displayed an 88 code which I know means it is overheating, but it only came on with no fan and shut right down. We vacuumed it and took it out of the cabinet, cleaned behind it and put it back together. It worked another couple of times then the same thing happened. Turned the circuit breaker off a while and turned it back on, it worked. Next time same issue, so we took it out and cleaned it again and it worked. Worked a couple of times and again same issue. Of course it is out of warranty and was the second time we used it in bought in Aug 2019 and used again in Oct 2020. Furrion refuses to help. They just said it needs to be replaced. I absolutely do not want another Furrion. What are my options? Are there any better RV fireplaces?

You linked to the Furrion RV Electric Fireplace, # F30SW15ABL so I assume this is the model you have. This is a 30" wide, recessed mount unit that has a cabinet cutout of 29-5/16" wide x 17-13/16" tall x 7-3/16" deep.

Currently there is not another fireplace that is near the same size, so unless you're willing to make major modifications you'll need to stick with another # F30SW15ABL.

The closest sized non-Furrion fireplace is the Greystone 26" Electric Fireplace # 324-000068 which needs a cutout that is 26-1/4" wide x 20-1/2" tall x 5-3/8" deep, so you'd need to use some wood to reframe your existing cutout for this to fit.
