Question:
I have 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 truck. I want to add a light bar strip beneath the tail gate. Is there a wiring harness to use to connect a new 4 prong light plug to back of factory installed wiring going to back side of factory installed trailer light plug in rear bumper. I just need a harness to prevent me from having to cut and splice wires under truck to add this 4 prong plug that will be used only to connect the strip lights. Do you sell a wiring harness to give me this 4 prong plug by installing the harness on back side of factory installed trailer wire plugs? Thanks for any information

Expert Reply:
Yes, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118384 simply tees into the rear trailer connector on a (2010 Dodge Ram Pickup) allowing you to keep the factory connector. Then you can run the 4-way lead up to the light strip. If the light strip does not have a 4-way you can simply cut off the 4-way on the harness and hardwire to the light. Please note, you'll only be able to obtain combined brake and turn signals with this method. If you need them separate you'll need to install a converter inline like part # C56196.
