Is the Draw-Tite Activator IV a Direct-Connect Replacement for the Activator II

Question:

I have a non functioning activator 2 in my 95 f250 7.3. I am wondering if i can just buy the activator 4 unit itself and plug in to the same plug or if i need to do the full rewire. I believe all the wires are fine. the unit looks old and the display has been out since i got the truck. it has only recently stopped showing anything at all for proof of trailer brakes being activated.

Yes, the Draw-Tite Activator IV # 5504 can be installed in place of the Activator II using the same wiring connector on your 1995 Ford F-250. All of the brake controllers from Horizon Global use that same connector so in reality you can use any Draw-Tite, Tekonsha, or Reese controller directly with that connector you have on your truck.
