Question:
Currently my trailer sits at 13’5” and can’t afford the two inch raise in the suspension. I have a Grand Design 3540GK-R and the factory shows it at 13’5”. I did notice a second hole on the shackle brackets where they attach to the air bag. Can you use the upper hole when mounting the bags to mitigate some of the 2” lift from the bracket. If not why is there a second hole in the bracket from Lippert. Thanks in advance

The second hole in the Equalizer # LC293054 portion of the Lippert Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension # LC1565391 can be used as the mounting point for the equalizer. To be able to use this hole it will generally only fit on your taller equalizers as the air bags may not clear the frame rails and underbelly when placed in the lower mounting hole. I have linked our installation video below for this system and you can see with the standard size hangers he is installing it on there is just enough room for the air bags.
This 2nd hole was designed in cases where the side clamps that help to hold the center section of the equalizer in place and prevent it from rotating in the hanger cannot be used.
