To flat tow your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 with 4WD behind an RV, you will need a base plate kit, a tow bar, safety cables, a lighting solution, a supplemental braking system, and most likely a high-low adapter.
Here are the parts you will need:
Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Fixed Arms item # RM-3180-2
Tow Bar: Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676
Safety Chains: RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643
Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit Item # RM-152
Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System item # RM-766
Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit - Chevrolet Equinox / GMC Terrain item # RM-751439
Supplemental Braking System: SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251
OR if your motor home has air brakes: SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System for Motor Homes with Air Brakes item # SM99243
I have linked video's to all of these component's which will be able to show you how to set up your 2017 GMC Sierra for flat towing. I have also linked our selection of high-low adapters and an article to help you determine which high-low adapter you will need for your tow-bar.
