What Would Explain Brake Controller Error Message Only in Morning

My draw tite brake controller blinks error in the morning start driving and it goes away

In the morning there is a good chance that there is dew on the pins of the trailer wiring connectors which is causing a short or error message and once it dried up the error goes away. I would try cleaning the pins with sandpaper as that would cut down on chance of a short being created that would make this worse. Putting dielectric grease on the pins with the # 11755 would be a great idea as well as it helps prevent moisture from getting in.
