You are correct. One of the reasons the Rear View Safety Tailgate Handle Backup Camera and Rear View Mirror with Monitor, part # RVS-718-TAILGATE, is sealed is to keep out any condensation or water of any type. Here are some trouble shooting steps.
1. I am guessing that you have already tried to clean the lens with a microfiber cloth, if not, that is the first thing I would do,
2. I would remove the moisture from the camera with some sort of desiccant. In a pinch, rice does work. You could heat up a bowl of rice in the microwave for about 30 seconds and then place your camera in the rice until the condensation has disappeared. Once it is dry, I would take a very close look at the camera to see if there are any cracks or a leak that is causing the condensation.
3. Check your connections, If one of your connections is bad that might cause a blurry lens. This can be checked by turning on your vehicle and look at your camera display. If the display loads, but the camera does not show an image, your problem is likely your camera. If the display does not load at all, the camera is probably not the problem.
At this point, if you still have a problem, you might want to replace your camera. I have included a video review of the camera below.
