Helpful Expert Reply:
I have heard of brake controllers interfering with AM radio signals if the controllers are installed to closely to the antenna. You may try moving the controller to a different location to see if that fixes the problem.
Or you could try insulating the controller with foil to stop the interference.
The interference you are experiencing should not be wiring related at all. It sounds like your controller is wired up correctly. The problem is most likely from the controller emitting an electronic frequency that is causing interference with the radio frequencies.
