Question:

Just ordered the linkage assembly from E-Trailer ..... only to find out now that I need a new control unit. My old control unit is part #909513 - stamped on the unit which is on my 1996 Kwikee step. It looks like the LC379146 control unit will work after reading about these units??? other than mounting holes are different Also the wiring of the LC379146 control unit looks like there are more wires than I need. Please tell me about the wiring?? Also reading about the LC379147 motor will replace my Kwikee motor from 1996? My motor is still working. But just in case I need one- will this be the part I need for the replacement motor LC379147???

I have a solution for you, but the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee Electric RV Steps # LC379146 is not the correct replacement unit for your Kwikee step.

The correct control unit you need to replace the #909513 is the Replacement Control Unit for Kwikee 38 Series Electric RV Steps # LC363989.

I reached out to a contact at Lippert and he told me that the Series 29 Kwikee step has been replaced by the Series 39. He could not confirm the Replacement Motor for Kwikee Electric RV Steps - 12V # LC379147 as a fit.
