I have a 2018 F-150 w/tow package. I am considering using the 56009 wiring harness. When using this kit will I need a brake relay?

Yes, because this harness wires your Ford F-150 as a combined system you will need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 while flat towing your 2018 Ford F-150 with the Hopkins Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # HM56009. This will prevent the brake signal from your F-150 from overriding the turn signal sent by your RV when you slow down to make turns. The color of your brake light switch wire is purple/white.
