After contacting the manufacturer, they have confirmed that the Curt # C12092 is compatible with all 2013 Ford C-Max trim packages and styles, which includes the Energi.

It is strongly advised that you check with your vehicle owner manual to ensure that your vehicle is capable of towing or carrying cargo/accessories via a trailer hitch. As well as checking what the specified weight limitations are for your 2013 Ford C-Max Energi.

Please keep in mind that # C12092 is rated as a Class 2 trailer hitch with a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,500 pounds and has a maximum tongue weight of 350 pounds. However, if your vehicle is rated for a lower towing or carrying capacity, please use the lower of the two.

This hitch has a 1-1/4 by 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and includes the installation hardware. However, a ball mount and trailer hitch ball is not included. Depending on your towing needs, you can use the Draw-Tite # 36071 with a hitch ball. Tow Ready offers both a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball # 19256, and a 2 inch trailer ball # 19258. Additionally, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector is recommended for your Ford C-Max # 119250KIT. I have included a video of the installation of this wiring kit on a different vehicle, however the general processes will be the same. Please consult your owner's manual for specifics regarding additional wiring questions.

If you are planning to install this product yourself, please keep in mind that our tech tips indicate that drilling is required for the installation of this hitch. Additionally, the exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation, and the heat shield must be modified or trimmed to install this hitch.
