Helpful Expert Reply:
The only hitch receiver available for 2010 Mercedes-Benz ML350 diesels is a class 3 hitch like the Curt item # C13102 with a 3500 lbs weight limit. The aftermarket hitch receivers do not have the same towing capacity as the OEM hitch receivers which is causing such a wide discrepancy in weight capacity. This has to do with the ML350 diesel ADBLUE tank and its placement by the spare tire. There is not enough space to attach a large enough hitch receiver that is bigger than a class 3. The placement was later changed in the 2012 ML350's because of issues related to the towing packages.
