will this fit a Thule 916XT T2 2-Inch Receiver? are the threads the same size?

Thule uses a propriety bolt pattern on their products. So the Hitchmate threaded trailer hitch receiver lock # HE6001 will not be compatible with the Thule T2 # TH916XTR-918XTR.
However we do offer a Thule Snug Tite hitch lock and anti-rattle device that may work for you. The Thule Snug Tite hitch lock and anti-rattle device part # THSTL2 is a replacement lock system that is compatible with your 2 inch receiver hitch. I have included a video demonstrating the assembly of this Thule Snug Tite hitch lock and anti-rattle device.
