Weight Rating of Ultra-Fab Steel Roller for Trailer Hitches

To who may concern, I what to weight capacity hitch drag wheel and stress capabilities? Pat.

Expert Reply:
I checked with manufacturer on this, they do not provide a weight capacity or shear point rating for the Ultra-Fab Steel Roller, # UF48-979020. Destructive testing to determine these values is not completed. Its' purpose is to be mounted on the hitch providing a contact point prior to that of what it is protecting receiving the damage that would otherwise occur to the hitch. They did state that their products are supplied to the OEM's in bulk and they have yet to have a single warranty claim.
