Question:
In looking at the video, the mechanic is installing the Tekonsha 7 way tow plug on a 2019 ford f150 without any factory wiring. It shows him plugging in the both connectors in same area. In briefly looking at my truck, one set of wires from the 4 prong goes toward the left tail light and the other goes to area/spot shown on the video. So, am I assuming that I will have to peel one of those connectors and do the same thing?

To install the Tekonshya # 118283, you'll find the connector shown on top the frame rail at the 1:45 minute mark in the video I've linked for you. You'll unplug that connection, then plug the # 118283 harness inline with that connection.
You might also need the # 18136 no-drill mount and the # PK12711U bracket shown in the video.
