Does the Battery Need Disconnected To Install Curt Trailer Wiring Harness On 2018 VW Tiguan

Hi, I am going to install #C56403 t-connector, my question is do I have to disconnect battery negative terminal before I start?

The battery does need to be disconnected in order to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56403 on a 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan per the instructions. That said, I have installed many of these harnesses without issues and never disconnected the battery. I cannot recommend you do the same but it is possible.
