Question:

Im looking at replacing the 4 leaf springs under my tandum 6000 lb axles under my 2015 Jayco fifth wheel. They gave good service but I had one of the originals break on our last trip and replaced it with a spring rated at 2500 lbs to get us back on the road. They had no springs that were rated at 3000 lbs each, which is what I imagine one needs with a 12500 lb gross weight trailer. Each spring has 4 leafs so Im looking at the SP-221275 to replace them. Are these springs rated at 3000lbs each? Thanks.

The 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e47SR are rated for 3,000lbs per spring. To confirm that these are a correct fit for your 2015 Jayco Eagle 5th wheel you will want to confirm the spring measurements.

I recommend replacing the U-Bolt with Nuts # 1755892 to reduce the chances of the original bolts having damaged threads or built up corrosion.
