Rhino racks recommended. I have a Mazda CX 5 and want to make sure a 140 lbs roof top tent can be supported on a naked roof ?

The Rhino-Rack roof rack that fits your 2017 Mazda CX-5 has a 165 lb dynamic capacity (that's the capacity when your vehicle is moving) and will be able to support a rooftop tent. However, some rooftop tents don't allow being mounted on naked roofs so this depends on the tent you have. You will also want to verify with Mazda what the load capacity is of your roof; I was unable to find it in the online owner's manual so check with your local Mazda dealer.
