Can SumoSprings # TSS 107-40 be Used with Shock Kit Installed on Trailer
Updated 06/15/2021 | Published 06/12/2021 >
Question:
Would sumosprings that I recently purchased work in conjunction with your lippert shock kit as there is still some sway and bounce on 65 Aloha with 3.5k axle4 3/4” top leaf to chassisor is this overkill and eliminate shocks?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The SumoSprings Kit part # TSS-107-40 would work just fine on a trailer with shocks like what you have. The shocks will still provide the dampening to make it feel less bouncy and harsh whereas the SumoSprings would just give you more support which reduce the bouncing.
If you are getting sway though I would recommend you try moving the weight of any cargo in the trailer as far forward as you can and also make sure you are using a ball mount that allows the trailer to sit level as well.
