How To Remove Or Install Thule Lock Core

Question:

I installed the lock into the tightening knob with a regular key in the lock not the master key. so essentially, I installed it upside down. How can I get that lock back out?

In order to remove a Thule lock core you first need to make sure it is unlocked by the key that matches it. Then you will need to use the larger universal key which should have been included with your bike rack; if you don't have one then you can find it here Universal Change Key # 853-1251. Simply insert this universal key and the lock core will pop out.

For installation, simply insert the universal change key into the unlocked core and push the core into the lock housing. Then remove the change key and you will be able to lock the core with the matching key. I attached a demonstration video that goes over this whole process.
