Question:
Can this product be used to wire a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee to a simple 4 prong utility trailer with no brakes? I know the Grand Cherokee requires a tail light conveter but after reading that this product is used to convert a 3 wire system to a 2 wire system, well, I was no longer sure this would work.

Yes, you can use the Hopkins Vehicle Wiring Converter with 4-Pole End, item number HM48915, to wire your Jeep for a 4-way trailer connection. Keep in mind that this unit will need to be hard wired into the vehicle's taillight circuits and that it only supplies 2.1 amps per function so the trailer can only have lights at the rear and no extra lighting. You will need to use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993, if you need one, to find the correct wiring to splice the connector to.
An easier option for you 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee would be to use the T-One Wiring Harness, item # 118349, which is a custom harness for your vehicle that plugs in line with your taillights and does not require splicing into the vehicle's taillight wires. This kit includes everything for installation and provides 4 amps for trailer lighting which allows for pulling trailers with some extra lighting. With this kit you will need to run one wire to the vehicle battery, which gives you the extra amperage to run the trailers lights.
