Question:

2008 Taurus X has fore and aft rails that are raised up front and flush towards the back. The rails have an open track. Watching the video of the Rhino Rack .. it appears to be a good fit. 1 Does the Y02-480B-NT fit this car? 2 Does it come with bases that bolt into the fore and aft track? Do I need any other specific measurements to make this fit?

I have a solution for the problem. Unfortunately, the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack for Factory Tracks - 2 Vortex Aero Crossbars # Y02-480B-NT will not fit your 2008 Ford Taurus X. However, if you wish to have Rhino-Rack vortex crossbars on your vehicle, the following parts are compatible with your factory rails:

- Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 49" Long - Qty 2 # RRVA126B-2
- Rhino-Rack SX Series Legs for Vortex Aero Crossbars - Raised Factory Side Rails - Qty 4 # RRSX100

The Rhino-Rack Legs will fit both the fore and aft factory rails on your 2008 Ford Taurus X. You do not need any other specific measurements to make this fit your vehicle.
