Replacement Roof Cargo Basket For Highland Basket

Question:

Looks like I have a highland roof top cargo basket with a 12” extender already in place, making it 35” wide by about 44” long x 4” or so tall. I want to make my basket at least 8/10” longer-Will the etrailer 12” extension for 35” wide roof cargo basket e99031 attach to my basket to make it 12” longer?

Thank you for the photo of your Highland roof cargo basket, as well as the dimensions you provided; unfortunately the extender you mentioned will not fit as it does not have the correct dimensions. Extenders are specific fits to cargo baskets, so there isn't an additional extender available for your Highland. To get the length you need, the best option really is a new cargo basket.

Thankfully, you can get a really nice basket with the longer length you need with an option from Yakima:
