Can etrailer Hitch Pin Be Used in Curt Trailer Hitch C13381

I bought the Class III Curt Trailer Hitch #C13381 and would like to know if the etrailer Hitch Pin and Clip #e65TR is compatible? Everything fits, but there is a bit of extra space on the pin. Is that safe when using the Thule Apex XT2 Bike Rack #TH9024XT If not, could you also recommend a Pin and clip that will ship within the week?

The etrailer hitch pin and clip part # e65TR does fit the Curt hitch part # C13381 but it's not the type of hitch pin to use with the Thule Apex XT part # TH9024XT as it does not need a hitch pin. Essentially it uses a wedge on the shank to hold the bike in place to the hitch tube and has an arm that folds into the hitch pin hole.
