Installing the Tekonsha 3040-P Pigtail on a 2013 Tacoma

Question:
I found two connectors behind the drivers side kick panel of my 2013 Toyota Tacoma one is plugged into a connector that doesnt seem to go anywhere and the other is not connected to anything. I attached both pictures

From what I could see of an install with the Tekonsha Pigtail # 3040-P on a 2013 Toyota Tundra, which has the same wiring layout, it looks like you may be looking for the port too low. I included an install video on a 2012 Tacoma as well, but it is less visible in that one. You should be looking just above the kick panel for a white, or slightly off white, with a blue wire that is thicker than most of the other wires. This plug can be hidden behind the mass of other wires and may be capped, making it difficult to find.
