Question:

Good afternoon, I was looking into purchasing a roof rack for my 2015 prius. I was interested in one that support a lot of weight and has a locking mechanism. I was interested in the inno aero bar roof rack it is listed as non locking but when I clicked the link it shows that it as a key for the roof rack. Could you please clarify if this roof rack has a lock or not please? I am concerned about security so I wanted to double check if it would be secured on the roof? Thank you!

The Inno aero roof rack that you are referring to includes InnoAero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black - 51" Long and 54" Long # INXB130-138, Inno Through Feet # INXS250, and Custom Fit Kit # INK865. This system is indeed locking; it secures the roof rack to your vehicle's roof and also secures any track-mounted accessories to the crossbars. The track-mounted accessories simply slide into the integrated T-slot track on top of the crossbars.

The weight capacity for this system is 140lbs, but make sure to never exceed the weight capacity of your vehicle's roof. My research tells me that your roof can hold up to 200lbs, but you will want to check the owner's manual to be sure. I attached a detailed demonstration video which shows how to install and use this setup.
