Recommended Roof Box for a 2021 Subaru Outback with a Surfboard, Wakeboards, and Backpacks

Question:

Will this fit on a subaru outback 2021 and will my surfboard fit in side? Surfboard dimensions: 53inch x 18 3/4inch x 2 1/4 Ideally i would like it laying on its side along with 2 wakeboards and 3 backpacks with kites inside. https://www.mackiteboarding.com/2021-duotone-whip-sls-kite-surfboard/

It sounds like you're asking for a roof box recommendation. While we don't have one large enough to carry your surfboard on its side, we do have a few that can house it on its side along with your other gear.

It's the Thule Motion XT, part # TH629806, that you referenced is a great choice. With its 18 cubic feet of space and inner dimensions of 79" long x 31-1/2" wide x 15" tall, it will be able to hold everything you have. It also fits most crossbars, so whichever crossbars your 2021 Subaru Outback has, it will most likely fit.
