Question:
will this work on a 2004 Jeep liberty and camper about 4000 lbs Reese Weight Distribution System w Shank - Trunnion Bar - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW Item # RP66541

First you will want to ensure that your Trailer Hitch Receiver on your 2004 Jeep Liberty is rated to be used with a Weight Distribution Hitch as not all can be. If not you will need the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75128 as it is rated to be used with the weight distribution hitch.
The Reese Weight Distribution System # RP66541 is really to much for your camper. You want to know your tongue weight of your camper which is generally 10%-15% of the weight.
I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET for your combination. It has a tongue weight capacity between 200lbs and 600lbs. With total trailer weight of 6,000lbs. This hitch will also incorporate a sway control system that will make driving much safer by reducing the trailers side to side movement in windy conditions or when driving around large trucks.
The Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 will help to reduce the noise from the hitch and extend its life.
